I fell down on the job a bit this week with recipes. It was due to a busy week and a lack of planning ahead. Luckily, the only casualties, as far as our CSA goodies go, were some of the herbs. Still, I hate when I have things that I don't use. In an attempt to avoid any lost produce this week, I have a plan. Hopefully it will help me use my veggies and herbs to the fullest. I'll share a few of the recipes along the way too!
basil: margherita pizza (with heirloom tomatoes from the coop)
cilantro: shrimp tacos with cilantro lime sauce
lettuce: big salad; green smoothies
fennel and zucchini: fennel, zucchini, and sausage pie
sugar snap peas: snacking, stir fry
bok choy and scallions: stir fry
kale: kale chips
I have kale coming out my ears . . . hope you share the recipe for kale chips!
ReplyDeletewhew. i'm going to copy some of this.
ReplyDeleteWendy, I'll share more about the kale chips on Sunday. They are so, so easy! Sarah, the fennel and zucchini pie recipe is in Asparagus to Zucchini under fennel. I'm going to modify it a bit to fit our needs and I'll share my recipe later in the week.
ReplyDeleteDo share your recipe for green smoothies. I've thrown away an appalling amount of lettuce :(
